Cristiano Ronaldo ready to buy stakes at Al Nassr
At the age of 40, Ronaldo is still the wealthiest footballer in the world. The Portugese player earned his money from salary, commercial and investments. With such activities through years, his total incomes is around $1.2b to $1.4b.
But Ronaldo seems isn't satisfied from that and he has continued to raise invesments through many professions. According to 365 Scores, Ronaldo is preparing to buy 15% ownership stake at Al Nassr. This source also revealed, the price for these stakes is about $66.7 million. After finished buying, Ronaldo will become a minority shareholder and aim to be a majority shareholder at the club.
With 15% stakes at Al Nassr, Ronaldo probably decided to live in Saudi Arabia after he retires. Here, he'll continue to contribute for Al Nassr, maybe as an ambassador. Slowly, Ronaldo is becoming the icon of the Saudi Pro League, attracts players from Europe. For example after the 2023 season, numourous players from Europe came to Saudi Arabia like Benzema, Kante, Mendy, Kessie,....and now is Joao Felix, Coman for his club.
Also with this move from Ronaldo, Al Nassr is expected to change their structual model by combining a private investment model. This will help them seek to compete against European teams and increase the arrival of sponsors to help improve the team’s competitiveness.
Right now, Ronaldo will not stop his football career. The player has already extended his contract till 2027. Since joined Al Nassr in 2023, Ronaldo keeps scoring with 101 goals, 28 assists over 117 matches. He's also aimed to claim his first national trophy after 2 years. This season, Al Nassr are staying undefeated with 9 straight wins, creating 4-point-lead against Al-Hilal.
Not only the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo wants to break his record at goals. As of November 2025, Ronaldo already got 954 goals and trying his best to reach 1000 goals. Next year, he will play at the World Cup 2026, highly be his last World Cup tournament as he'll reach 41 years old at Summer 2026.
